Description
Mitragyna Speciosa is a tropical evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia, where it has been used in traditional medicine since the nineteenth century. It is in the coffee family but does not contain caffeine however it is considered a stimulant. The leaves of the tree are ground up into a powder and can be taken in powder form or in capsules. Low doses of stimulants effect increased arousal, attention, and cognitive enhancement. Moderate doses can lead to feelings of euphoria and power.
Stimulants are used in sports to enhance performance. These substances work on the central nervous system to increase alertness, concentration, metabolic rate, power, strength, and to decrease fatigue. They also increase strength, muscular power, and endurance.
